Team round up news

Dear resident

Hope you are all well and having a good start to your week.

Here’s a quick roundup from your local policing team of some of the work we have been doing over the couple of weeks in the Blakenall/Leamore/Birchills and Beechdale area.

  • Patrols continuing in the Stephenson Sq area of Beechdale in response to ASB by the shops. The team are currently working with housing associations, fire service and Walsall Council in regards to this matter.
  • Patrols were conducted in the Lea playing Field Goscote 17/08/25- where approx. x3 off road bikes were seen and a small quad. These made off from the team upon arrival- children were seen to be both on the small quad and one of the off-road bikes. Please can all residents be reminded that riding off road bikes and quads are prohibited both on the fields of the Lea and Swannies field. Quad bikes, three-wheeled bikes, trail bikes and some other two-wheeled vehicles are built for off-road use, it is against the law to ride them in public parks or on publicly-owned land without permission from the local authority. As with unlicensed powered vehicles, these can only be used on private roads or land with the road or land-owner’s permission. The main concern we have regarding the use of these bikes is ultimately health and safety both for the riders and members of the public.
  • The team attended our Cuppa with A Copper drop in session 14/08/25 at Blakenall Village Centre.
  • Blakenall officers whilst on proactive patrols in the Hawbush Rd area of Walsall- have spotted a prolific offender who was wanted on recall to prison, after a short foot chase the offender was arrested and taken into custody. (15/08/25)
  • Further patrols have been conducted at notable priority locations-
  • -Remington Road, Beechdale

    -Reedswood Lane

    -Shearwater Road/Turnstone Road, Coalpool.
